Doors and windows
In accordance with modern technologies installation of door and window blocks, translucent constructions of large areas are made with use of mounting foam. Heat losses through the space between a frame of a door or a window and an aperture arise because of following errors of the fitters:
Passes at filling through which cold air penetrates a premise;
The lack of protection of foam from ultraviolet radiation, due to which the foam quickly collapses and crumbles;
Untimely installation of external slopes that protect the foam from the negative influence of the sun.
Taking care of the quality of interior and exterior finishes, future homeowners forget about the roof. But according to the laws of physics warm air rushes upward, i.e. to the roof. If the heat and waterproofing of this part of the building is made with violations, then a large mass of heat leaves the cottage through the roof. Such situations are clearly recorded by the thermovision inspection of the building in the underlay space.
Heat leakage through the enclosing structures occurs for two reasons:
Wall anomalies – cracks of the lower tops of the cobwork, passes in the insulation material or its insufficient thickness, which leads to drafts from corners, from under a plinth, occurrence of a wind closer to a floor;
Wall defects – incorrect selection and poor installation of insulation, steam and wind-proof films.
The building thermovision inspection can reveal hidden leaks that cannot be detected by other means. Water can appear due to defects of external walls, errors made at laying of pipelines of heating, water supply, laying of water warm floors. Non-hermetic connections of liquid systems also lead to water leakage and, consequently, to heat loss.
